​Mr. Mingwen Yang​
Executive Vice President and Chief Engineer​

Mr. Yang is a founding member of BWD responsible for metallurgical process design, quality control, and technical consulting.

Mr. Yang is a seasoned professional in nonferrous metallurgy with over 30 years of industrial and commercial experience. Prior to founding BWD, Mr. Yang was President and Chief Executive Officer of Silver Harbour Nonferrous Metallurgy Limited, specializing in treatment of hydrometallurgical by-products. The company processed over 100,000DMT of copper concentrate and by-products and achieved annual sales in excess of RMB12.0 million. Mr. Yang began his career as a professional engineer at the Research and Design Institute of Nonferrous Metallurgy in Kunming, China, where he played an integral role in the design and construction of numerous large-scale smelters across China.  Mr. Yang is a inventor of several proprietary technology associated with blast furnace smelting of zinc and copper-bearing materials.



Mr. Yang holds a Bachelor of Metal Mining from Chonqing University (with distinction). He obtained his Professional Engineer designation in 1985.
